Our Story
About Aiko
The rain was relentless, but in the stillness of the first moment I shared with my newborn daughter, the world was warm and our connection was undeniable. Like many moms all I want for my daughter is for her to thrive! Although there is no one way of doing that, I do know I want her to know she is loved by her family and God, and I want her to have a love of all of the above and books. The rest will follow.
Finding books that dove deeper than your typical princess fairy tale were more difficult than I imagined, but I insisted on finding books that aligned with the values I wanted to teach her. I also wanted books with which I felt she could identify, books that expressed brown is beautiful! One day, I told her a story I created for her and she loved it! Out of this love, Aiko books were born.
Aiko books are carefully crafted to teach values, introduce prayer and embrace Latino culture. Every child is an Aiko kid-“God's little loved one.” Let's read, pray, and play with our little loved ones!
